People came from across the Bay Area to attend Redwood City’s Salsa Festival.

The rhythm of the music and people’s tapping feet brought the Bay Area back together once again for the annual Salsa Festival.

Packed crowds swarmed the streets of Redwood City at the 12th-annual festival. The vibe that fluctuated throughout the city left everyone with something to remember.

The event brings not only dancing and good food together, but families and friends as well. People from all over traveled here to let loose and party with their loved ones on this special occasion.

“I’ve been coming to this event for the past six to seven years,” Jose Rodriguez said. “I enjoy being able to come here with my family, friends, nieces, and nephews.”

This event has been held near and dear to the hearts of many as it created memories between families, and landmarks in certain people’s lives.

“This was the first event I came to since I moved back to the Bay Area, after living in LA for 15 years,” Angela Reposa said. “I started as a beginner dancer, and this is the first salsa event I came to. This is now like an annual celebration for me of being back home.”

This event has created a sense of community in many people’s hearts, leading them to come back every year. As everyone is welcomed here, people find themselves leaving with new friends and experiences; that they are sure not to forget anytime soon.

“I love all the friends I have made here, and it’s an opportunity for all of us to get together in a safe and fun environment,” Reposa said. “The live music here is also a great bonus.”

Everyone who came was welcomed with open arms and tasting spoons, ready to sample the variety of food available at the festival. With the dancing and great music, new friendships were formed, leaving everyone who came to this festival wanting to return next year. All the bright colors and smiling faces created an unforgettable experience.

“I’ve been coming to this event for the past ten years with my friends and family,” Freddie Perroa said. “The music is wonderful, the food, and the people around us are all great. I would highly recommend this event to everyone.”
