The Belmont Library will be holding a Valentine’s Day cupcake decorating contest on Monday, Feb. 14 from 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM. The cupcakes, which are standard yellow cake flavor, will be provided along with edible decorations.

Participants will be able to decorate two to three cupcakes, which is subject to change due to attendance. One hour is given for participants to decorate and only one cupcake may be submitted for the final judging.

“Participants will be able to decorate their cupcakes using frosting, sprinkles, and Valentine’s Day-themed candy,” replied Dolly Goyal, a librarian at the Belmont Library, “After the judging, there will be a massive cupcake eating!”

The judges will be looking for creativity, presentation, design, and edibility when picking the best cupcake. Not only will participants be able to eat the cupcakes they decorate, but the winner of the best cupcake will receive a prize.
