Finding Nemo swims back into theaters

Finding Nemo has returned to the big screen, but this time in an astonishing three-dimensional film.

Returning from its original release date in 2003, the newly-added effects have made the movie more clear and eye-popping than ever before.

“I thought that the 3-D effects were super awesome,” commented student Kelsey Maganaris. “I think that it was way better than regular movies with no 3-D.”

The animated story by Disney’s Pixar takes place in Sydney, Australia. It chronicles the story of Nemo, a young clownfish who gets captured from the ocean by fishermen, and his father’s journey to find him. It’s up to Nemo’s father, Marlin, and his absent-minded partner Dory, to save Nemo.

The 3-D effects they were amazing, making the audience feel as though they were part of the movie. There were numerous instances where the film did not look animated.

Other Disney movies plan to re-release in 3-D as well.

Monsters Inc., originally released in 2001, is intended to come out in 3-D mid-December 2012. The Little Mermaid, originally released in 1989, is also set for re-release in mid-September 2013.

No matter what dimension the movie takes place in, Finding Nemo will continue to be an enjoyable movie.

Select movie theaters were giving away limited edition Finding Nemo 3-D glasses.
