Lady Scots season comes to an end

Josh Faulkner | Scot Scoop News

On Thursday,  the Lady Scots had there most important game of the year, with a Central Coast Section semifinal game against the Palo Alto Vikings (34-1) who were the strongest opponent faced all year.

The Palo Alto Vikings were the number one seed going into Division I bracket play, and have only lost nine of 99 games in their entire season.

For the Lady Scots to advance to the CCS finals for the first time since 2005, they will need to have their best performance of all year.

The Lady Scots were down two games to one going into the fourth game, and they realized that this could be the last game they will play as a team this year.

The fourth game between the Lady Scots and the Vikings was the longest game in Division I tournament play since 2007 with the Lady Scots losing 31-29.

The Lady Scots had an outstanding season finishing with a 21-14 overall record, and a third place finish in the Peninsula Bay league division.
