With Valentines day just around the corner, roses will be sold all week from Feb. 6 to the 10 to get Carlmont students in the Valentine’s Day spirit.

Roses will be sold for two dollars every day at lunch in the Quad.

When purchasing a rose for that special someone, one has the option of writing a personal message for the lucky recipient. The rose can also be anonymous pr under the title of “Secret Admirer.”

“The point of the rose sale is to warm the hearts of each individual student who purchases one,” said Monica Chin, junior vice president and co-coordinator of the rose sale.

Chin has been working with partner in crime Luke Li, junior class president, for two weeks coordinating this sale.

The two class officers have been contacting Repetto’s Florist to order the roses. They have also put up posters all around the school to help publicize this event.

“The goal for this event is to sell 400 roses. We want to give students the opportunity to connect with each other in an original way. Most of all, we want the Carlmont campus to be full of love and hugs on this annual holiday,” said Li.

Roses will be distributed individually during 4th period on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14.

Every student is encouraged to purchase a rose. It is a great way to celebrate Valentine’s Day for its original purpose, love.
