Temple Run 2 takeover

[media-credit id=72 align=”alignnone” width=”199″][/media-credit]The highly anticipated sequel to the Temple Run app for iPhone and Andriod was released on Jan. 17, 2013 and Jan. 24, 2013.

The fast-paced game centers around a character of your choice, running from a monster in treacherous jungle surroundings. Not only does the player face the obstacle of outrunning the monster, but he or she also must watch out for cliffs, rivers, arches, and a variety of other road blocks which could suddenly end the game.

There have been improvements made which make the app more popular for some Carlmont students. Senior Derek Wellman, who posted a screenshot of himself playing the game on Instagram, said that the game is “more fun because you can do different things like zipline.”

The sequel to Temple Run includes additions such as ziplining, traveling through caves in mining carts, and new ways to power up.

After being released for only a few short days, the app launched to the top of the charts as the most downloaded free app from iTunes.
