On Oct. 11, 2012, wet conditions postponed tennis play at Burlingame High School. The match is planned to be resumed on Oct. 17.

“Shortly after we arrived, it started raining really hard, so they had to stop the match,” said a disappointed Minh-Han Vu. “After all the waiting, the open division was kind of bummed that they didn’t get to play.”

No match was finished, but leaders in the games in progress were divided between both teams. Numbers one, two, and four singles matches were being led by Carlmont, while Burlingame had control of number three singles. One and two doubles were being held strong by Carlmont as Burlingame was winning number three doubles.

The team is still holding on to the top spot in its division with its undefeated record in league games. The loss to Palo Alto High School on Oct. 10 was a non-league game and will not affect Carlmont’s standing in their league.

Finishing up the last half of the season, the team hopes to show how good they are down the stretch.
