The Griddle’s Chips Ahoy French Toast, an amazing breakfast to start the day.

In Los Angeles there are many great restaurants, but one in particular that is truly amazing.

On 7916 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA, there is a phenomenal café called “The Griddle,” which serves a variety of American breakfast diner food.

When I first saw the line stretching outside the café doors, I wondered how good the food must be to deserve such a long line and decided to wait in line for a table, anticipating a great meal.

As I was waiting, I saw humongous pancakes being served to people’s tables and instantly felt the need to taste them.

After a 15 minutes, the waitress called my name and seated me at a table located just outside of the café.

First off, I ordered an orange juice to drink, and it came in a milkshake style cup, freshly squeezed with lots of pulp. It was easy to see that it was not made from concentrate.

For my meal, the decision was between the chocolate chip pancakes or the Chips Ahoy French Toast (Chocolate Chip Cookie Crusted French Toast). When the waitress came, I placed my order for the French toast.

When the food came out, I was shocked to see the size of my dish. The plate was smothered in whipped cream and Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies.

The portion size made me think to myself, “OH MY GOODNESS! How am I ever going to finish this?”

But when I took my first bite, I was immediately hooked; the combination of the Chips Ahoy cookies, the whipped cream, and the texture of the French toast was an explosion of sweet goodness in my mouth! It was so good, I packed up the leftovers and ate them the next day.

The service at the café is fantastic, and the waitress was sweet, thoughtful, and attentive, constantly making sure that everything was okay.

I would definitely recommend this The Griddle to anyone looking for breakfast in the Los Angeles area.
