As Jan. 22 approaches, the dreadful question seems to be more frequent: Are you going to formal?
This year, Winter Formal will take place on Jan. 22 from 8pm to midnight. It will be located at the San Mateo Marriott.
There are a number of students who are excited for the dancing and a night of fun with their friends. Zack Diesh, who did not attend last year’s Winter Formal, is looking forward to this year’s dance. “I’m really excited and I hope that it will be lots of fun,” Diesh said.
Melissa McCormick, who did go to Winter Formal last year, is also one of the students who are eager to attend. “I’m going again because I had a lot of fun last year and many of my friends are going too,” McCormick stated.
While many students are excited about going to formal, there are also a number who are less enthused. “There are other things that I would rather be doing,” Daniel Bereket commented.
The cost of the tickets is also a deciding factor to whether students will attend or not. “I think it would be fun to go, but it’s too expensive,” Jordi Vasquez added.
For those who are interested in purchasing a ticket, tickets are on sale in the ASB room until Jan. 20. For the remainder of the week, tickets are $40 with a PAL sticker or $50 without PAL. From Jan. 18 to Jan. 19, tickets are $50 with PAL and $60 without PAL. On Jan. 20, tickets are $60 with PAL and $70 without PAL.
