Carlmont’s track and field team will have their first meet in two weeks.
For the past couple of weeks, the track and field team has been preparing for their first meet against Burlingame in two weeks.
This year, the track and field team has gotten a new head coach, Cheyne Murray, who promotes working together as a team more than the past coaches.
This track and field team offers about fifteen events including pole vaulting, two hundred meter dash, one mile, and two mile runs.
Last year, many of the individual athletes went to Central Coast Sectionals (CCS) including Jorja Flynn, Casey Schade, and Thomas Yeh.
There are many new sophomores and freshman who have decided to try track and field for the first time. Sophomore Grace Chang stated, “We have been practicing everyday for a while now and I know many of the new students have learned a lot, so we should do good in our first meet against Burlingame.”
Come support the track and field team at their first track meet on Thursday, Mar. 10 at 3:00.
