On Jan. 26, Carlmont boys varsity soccer team won against their rival team, Sequoia.

Coming into this game, the team had a record of 3-2-1 in league games.

Control of the ball went back and forth throughout the game until the other team made a goal on the Scots.

As halftime approached, the score was 2 to 1 and the Scots had to catch up.

After many nice passes by both teams, Carlmont scored off a cross pass.

Another similar goal was made for the Scots almost immediately after that to conclude the game.

These closely matched teams battled it out for a final score of 1 to 2 with Carlmont winning.

When asked how they performed, senior captain AJ Beloff answered, “It wasn’t our best game but really took the initiative and stepped it up in the second half. We stopped playing so much defense and started to attack. It was a very important win for us.”
