On Dec. 11, 2012 girls varsity basketball team played against Yerba Buena High School. The Lady Scots beat Yerba Buena by 28 point ending the game 55 to 27.

Sophomore, Sabrina Miller who plays post scored 21 points throughout the whole game. Miller thought the game was an easy win and that her team was confident going into it.

Both teams started out slow, but during the second half of the game, Carlmont came as a team and worked harder to their potential to beat Yerba Buena.

Freshman Erin Alonso commented, “I think we need to work on our communication and team work more.” Alonso plays as a point guard and contributed to the Lady Scots victory by gaining six points for the team.

Sophomore Rachel Lum also a point guard gained 11 points for the team and did exceptionally well during Tuesday’s game.

Lady Scots fought through many steals and a fair number of fouls.

Alonso noted that, “we try really hard and that may help bring us together as a team and improve our skill level,” and with practices beginning to be more intense, varsity believes they have a successful season to look forward to.
