[media-credit id=64 align=”alignnone” width=”300″][/media-credit]Carlmont’s varsity volleyball team dominated Notre Dame High School in the Battle of Belmont on Oct.1, 2012. Varsity volleyball came out strong and ended up victorious against the Tigers.

The Lady Scots fought a very close match and won in four games, scoring 24-26, 26-24, 25-20, 25-23. They came back strong after the first game, ending up with a two point win.

Senior defensive specialist Kayla Wright commented, “varsity is undefeated in league so far and we are improving so quickly, our spirit is better this year as well as our consistency.”

The crowd was packed with Scots spirit during the game, and according to Wright, “the clever chants definitely increased the team’s energy and it meant the world to us to have so many supporters there cheering for us.”

The Lady Scots are hoping that their hard work will hopefully allow them to continue to keep their winning streak.

The sixth league game is on  Oct.4, 2012 at Carlmont against Burlingame High School.

“I am so proud of my team and although we had unforced errors, we truly played together. Even though there was a lot of pressure riding on the game, we prevailed,” added Wright.

The Lady Scots were noteworthy in this year’s Battle of Belmont and definitely proved that they were ready.
