The first day of school is just around the corner! Like me, you’re probably not ready to wake up early in the morning and have piles of homework stacked on your desk. Before you return from your relaxing summer vacation, there are some important dates you need to put on your calendars.

Freshmen Parent Info Night: Tuesday, August 16 at 7pm in the Carlmont Performing Arts Center (PAC)

Early Bird Picture Day: Wednesday, August 17, 10 am to 4 pm in the Scot’s Gym. PE clothes may also be purchased at Early picture day.

Student/Parent Mandatory Registration Check In Day (all grades):
Thursday, August 18 10 am to 6 pm in the Scot’s Gym. Last names beginning with:
A-E 10 am to noon
F-L Noon to 2 pm
M-R 2 pm to 4 pm
S-Z 4 pm to 6 pm

Freshman Orientation & BBQ: Wednesday, August 24 8:00 am to 12 noon. All freshmen students are required to meet in the football bleachers. BBQ lunch will be provided.

First Day of School: Thursday, August 25 at 8:00 am. All students are required to arrive at school before 8:00 am. Except for freshmen, students must arrive early to find their 1st period class on a list in the quad. The list is organized by student ID number only, so please bring your student ID card with you. Remember, you will be required to wear your ID on a lanyard at all times this school year.

And make sure you stay connected with Scot Scoop News and The Highlander 24/7 by signing up for our email newsletters, text message alerts, and following us on Twitter and Facebook! By subscribing, you will receive the latest news from Carlmont produced by the Carlmont journalism students.
