Due to major abdominal surgery, the public has not seen Princess Catherine of Wales since December of 2023, that is, until she posted a photo of her and her three children on Britain’s Mother’s Day. People began to notice that the image had been edited, which the princess later admitted to, adding fuel to the conspiracy theories about her whereabouts. Even Americans have been keeping up with the drama in Reddit channels dedicated to her disappearance. More recently, a video of the princess shopping surfaced. However, many doubt its legitimacy. The latest royal dilemma shines a light on the effect of new technological advances on the public’s trust in celebrities. (Keira Sarmiento)
