Johnny Depp’s defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard has recently gone to court. Depp, the plaintiff, is suing Heard for slander and libel over an op-ed she wrote for the Washington Post detailing her experiences with domestic abuse and sexual violence. Court proceedings have gotten fairly heated and shocking claims have been made by both sides, leading to discussions about both participants’ integrity and the validity of the evidence.
