The modern usage of the word “Scalper” is to describe someone who buys sought-after items in bulk and resells them for an incredibly marked-up price. Today, graphics cards such as Nvidia’s RTX 3090 and consoles such as the PS5 are difficult for parents to obtain, disappointing many children during the holiday season.
