Technology and social media have widened the access that younger generations have to all kinds of music, including older music that other generations grew up with. Many people who are part of the younger generations discover old classics through social media platforms such as TikTok or Instagram. TikTok is the most used music discovery social media for these generations, followed by Instagram then Facebook. Through the use of social media, many people are able to discover new, upcoming artists as well as older ones in the music scene. Social media is an effective way of discovering new and old music, but there are many other methods as well.

New York City has a law that requires them to provide a bed to any homeless person who asks. However, they also have a 30-day limit on that bed. Once 30 days is up, the homeless of New York are once again turned to the streets and have to take a number to find a place to sleep again. The numbers of people without proper shelter at night are now up to the 1700s.

Teens feel lonelier than ever in the world of online chatting, but not because of the lack of physical interaction. In recent years, interactivity with A. I. robots and chatbots, have increased interaction online with these digital friends, but not all of these benefits are positive to young adults seeking connection. Research shows that in teens there is an ever-growing dependence on these chatbots due to the emotional comfort and praise that many of them provide, but in turn causes causes ‘fake relationships’ and emotional dependence on the robots. As new developments in A.I. are continuously being made, there is concern about how these chatbots will affect the emotional dependence of teens in the future.

A Forbes Health Survey revealed the top revolutions for 2024. It reports a recent trend of people opting for fitness goals over mental health goals which were popular in recent years. However, experts say that physical activity actually boosts mental health, allowing both goals to be met.

On the second day of Donald Trumps defamation trial, brought by writer E. Jean Carroll, the judge threatened to remove Trump from the courtroom. Trump was asked to lower his voice as both the jury and the victim could overhear his audible commentary on the case. This is not the first trial where Trump has misbehaved; in a civil fraud trial with Judge Arthur Engoron in New York state court, Trump was warned that he would be removed as a witness. Throughout the trial, Trump showed visible disagreement through hand gestures and facial expressions, as well as referring to the judge as a Trump hating guy before his departure.

Although it has immediately faced backlash over changes in storyline, costumes, and castings, the new movie holds constant the ideas of friendship in girlhood, kindness, and staying true to oneself.

Since then, there has been an outpour of support and reporting on the three mens lives and families. However, this coverage sharply contrasts with the lack of coverage on Palestinian victims - who have no way of communicating with the outside world and humanizing their losses.

The Texas Supreme court pulled the brakes on a lower court allowing an abortion to a woman with a fetus with fatal conditions. Texas has strict abortion laws and a statewide ban on abortion, presenting scenarios like these where the mother and childs life may be in danger. For the sake of human life, abortion should be legal nationwide.
