Our purpose in covering topics related to COVID-19 is to provide the community with up-to-date information on the virus and how the area is being affected. We aim not to overstate or minimize the potential risks and dangers related to the virus, and for this information to be fact-based. Our main goal is to be able to provide clear answers to many of the questions that the community has, as well as being a reliable resource that our readers can count on regarding this epidemic. We want to make it clear that our intention for this segment is to inform, without sensationalizing this serious topic.
Questions?

Test-Optional:

The following four-year colleges have gone test-optional for the 2021 fall admissions due to test cancellations and conflicts due to COVID-19. By going test-optional, these colleges will still be accepting test scores; however, if you choose not to take the ACT or SAT, then you will not be required to submit your scores. This list is not concrete, as many colleges may implement this policy.

Grading:

Several colleges, including the UCs, will accept non-letter grades for A-G courses completed in winter/spring/summer 2020 for all students, which includes those recently admitted.

AP Tests:

Since the AP tests are not being canceled, colleges' policies have not changed, meaning scores three and above will be accepted for credit.
