Daily Bulletin: 10/30/13

Calling all students who are interested in trying out for the winter cheerleading/dance team. Coach K. will be holding a lunch time meeting on Friday, Nov. 1st in the main gym. She will be going over the try out packet, and talking about the season. She is really looking for new talent and strong male athletes who aren’t in season to help build up towards the Sequoia Showcase. Male athletes would not be required to dance, but instead would be learning how to stunt. Hope to see some new faces!! -Jankowski

Carlmont, have you heard about what happened to Pluto? Do you think that’s messed up? If so, come to the first meeting of Students Against the Removal of Pluto’s Planetary Status, Thursday at lunch in E-1. See you there. -Harrison

Henri Matisse was a French draughtsman, print maker, and sculptor who lived from 1869 to 1954. This Friday, in French Club, there will be an activity on Henri Matisse’s artwork and other French artists at lunch in room A5. See you there! -Burton

Outdoor Ed. Calling all Outdoor Ed. counselors. If you want to be an Outdoor Ed. Counselor for Cipriani School November 12-15, go to the ASB page of the Carlmont Website, download the Outdoor Ed. application, and turn it in to Mr. Kelly. -Kelly

Yearbooks! Get your Yearbooks! Have you purchased a yearbook yet? If not, would you like to purchase a yearbook for this school year? If you would like a yearbook for the 2013-2014 school year, make sure to go online and purchase one. Visit Carlmon’ts website and click on the “Online Check In Cart” under the “Quick Links” section. Remember, if you do not purchase a yearbook ahead of time, there is no guarantee that you will be able to purchase one at the end of the school year so log on and get yourself a yearbook. Students…Do you know about the PTSA’s Reflections Art Program?What do you believe in? What are your dreams? Who inspires you? Choreograph a dance, produce a film, write a poem or story, compose a song, take a picture or create a piece of visual art and tell us your interpretation of the theme: “Believe, Dream, Inspire.” For more information and to pick up a Reflections Entry Form at the Carlmont High School Library. Entries must be submitted to the library NO LATER than end of lunch on Friday, November 15. -Laine
