Students! The Boys & Girls Club of the Peninsula in East Palo Alto is offering a 5 week summer program for 9th, 10th and 11th grade students. Student will choose a fun career “track” to explore the following fields of study: Education, Law & Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts and Athletics. If you are interested in signing up for this free program, please go to the guidance office at lunch for a form. -Depaoli 

Carlmont’s Gay Straight Alliance is hosting Day of Silence today. It is a day to call attention to the silencing effects of anti-LGBT+ bullying. Come to the quad at lunch to pick up name tags, and tell us what you will do to break the silence. -Hill 

Capture the Flag! Remember that game! There will be a lunchtime tournament. Get your team together and sign up in the ASB room. -Kelly

Prom Tickets are on sale Tuesday. This will be the lowest price for Prom Tickets. $65 with PAL sticker and $75 without. All Prom info is on the ASB page of the Carlmont website. Prices go up after April 4. -Kelly

Are you smarter than a freshman? Find out at Friday’s rally in the quad. A team of freshmen against a team of teachers. Will the teachers be smarter than freshmen? -Kelly

Calling all students who are interested in trying out for 2014 fall cheerleading team. Try outs are just around the corner. Try outs will take place on April 8, 9, and 10, in the dance studio from 5:00pm to 7:30pm. Please make sure that you download your partial clearance packet from the Carlmont cheerleading athletic page and bring the completed forms to Coach K. on the first day of the try outs. Reminder that you must attend all 3 days of try outs to participate on the final try out day April 10. -Janokowski

Attention AP Students If you are taking an AP Exam in May you are required to attend a pre administration session on one of these dates Tuesday April 8 in the Student Union at 2:20 (after 6th period) OR Wednesday April 9 in the Student Union at 7:55am (before school) OR Thursday April 10 in the Student Union at 3:20 (after 7th period) Bring your Student ID and a #2 pencil to the session. Attendance at a pre administration session is Mandatory. If you fail to attend one of these sessions, you will not be allowed to take your AP Exam. -Rasor

Attention Seniors: Canada College will be in the College Center on Tuesday, April 8th during lunch and 5th period. They will be here to help seniors apply to Canada. Students interested in meeting with Canada after lunch that day must bring a pass from their 5th period teacher. -Dominguez
