Diablo III a success

Diablo III a success

Twelve years after Diablo II, Blizzard has released the third installment in one of the most successful PC trilogy games of all time.

Diablo III’s release day sales did not disappoint as it broke the record for the most pre-orders for a PC game on Amazon.

In this classic “hack and slash” game, the player starts the game by choosing one of five distinct characters that they will train and level up as they progress further into the game.

Even before I purchased the game, I knew  that I would choose to be a demon hunter because I was already familiar with its characteristics and abilities from Diablo II.

Unfortunately, it would take me several hours to actually start hunting demons. Apparently, the blinking “error 37” on my screen was a result of the millions of people actively using the crowded network. My game was slow and would oftentimes freeze to my dismay.

After the initial server setback, the true adventure began and I was ecstatic as I started to level up my demon hunter.

The new Diablo felt familiar to its predecessor control and story wise, but its graphics and multitudes of new and exciting abilities shocked me.

Every time I leveled up, I faced a new dilemma as I pondered which skill set to improve. Every monster I killed, I discovered a new artifact or weapon to put to good use.

Playing with friends online is quick and easy as long as the servers aren’t crowded, and new add-ons such sharing loot among your party makes it much more user friendly.

The massive number  of spells and runes combined with Diablo III’s massive multi-player map makes it the greatest RPG of all time.
