Girls water polo outplay Mills

The Carlmont Lady Scots took on the Mills varsity team at Mills and walked away with a dominating score of 11-4.

The Mills team was microscopic in comparison to Carlmont, with only three substitutes on their bench.

It was the lady Scots second to last league game, and they were ready to bulldoze the Mills team, which they had defeated earlier in the season. The Girls tactics did not go as planned, and the first half got off to a slow start.

At the first quarter, Carlmont and Mills were dead even with a score of 2-2. By half, they remained locked even with a score of 4-4.

During halftime, new coach Cole Bielskis had to talk some sense into the Lady Scots, motivating them by reminding them that in their last game, the Mills team did not put up much of a challenge and that they were playing way below their abilities.

After half, the Lady Scots got their game together and started to rack up the points. By the 3rd quarter, the girls earned a 10-4 lead.

Using more plays and preventing counters let the girls earn their comeback and by the end of the 3rd quarter, the Mills team looked slow and weak next to the Lady Scots.

The Lady Scots walked away with a score of 11-4, scoring only one more goal after their dynamic and game changing 3rd quarter. During the 4th quarter, the Scots worked on running more plays and using a double set.

The girls look to beat Hillsdale in their last game next week, where if they come out victorious they will have earned 2nd place in their P.A.L. league.
