NFL season off to a great start

NFL season off to a great start

[media-credit name=”http://answers.bettor.com/ used with cc license” align=”alignnone” width=”203″][/media-credit]Millions of Americans had been waiting for the moment, and last night, it finally happened. The 2012 NFL Season began with a stunning game in which the Green Bay Packers defeated the New Orleans Saints.

Despite having an absence of off-season workouts in the summer, the Packers managed to perform exceedingly well. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers joked after the game, “That was a good start for us, But I’ve just got to ask myself, ‘What would have happened if we had had offseason workouts?’ Could we have started any faster and scored more points tonight?”

The most impressive stats however, came from the Saints quarterback and former Super bowl MVP Drew Brees. Throwing for 32 out of 49 passes, 419 yards, and a total of three touchdowns, Brees was disappointed, but proud that they were able to come back from a deficit of 21-7.

“I was proud of the way we hung in there and fought back,” Payton said. “There will be a lot of things on tape that we’ve got to clean up with this first game. Credit Green Bay. They did a very good job and did all the things they needed to do to win a home game like that.”

Keep an eye out for the Falcons-Bears and 49ers and Seahawks this Sunday as we honor our the tenth year anniversary of 9/11.
