Yesterday, the Scots varsity volleyball played against M-A. This game was especially important to the Lady Scots because it was to determine second place in the PAL championships.

The Scots’ undefeated season came to an end, with a loss to M-A. The first game Carlmont lost, 23-25, with a close win. By the second game, Carlmont was beginning to lose enthusiasm with a loss of  13- 25, and the third game, 20-25.

“We definitely underestimated them, they were stronger than we thought,” exclaimed player Torika Ramulo.

Ramulo was one of the many players that was surprised to have worked so hard to come to the championships and lose to a competitive team.

Varsity was determined to win with their strong serves, thunder spikes, and enthusiasm to keep the ball in the air.

“We began very confident, but we seemed to have psyched ourselves out because we lost momentum by the end of the second game,” said Ramulo. “We were nervous and lost unity by the end”.

This Saturday, Oct. 29, Carlmont and M-A will meet again during this weekend’s volleyball tournament.
