[media-credit name=”Sina Gomez” align=”alignleft” width=”150″][/media-credit]Yesterday, Nov. 10, Carlmont and Sequoia’s frosh-soph football teams went head to head at Carlmont’s first (and only) night game of the season.

As early as the first quarter, Sequoia’s Cherokee-Raven’s had aquired 27 points – a huge lead over Carlmont, who had 0 points.

The score of 27 to 0 remained the entire first quarter and at half-time, it was still unchanged.

The half-time show consisted of Carlmont’s drum-line preforming, and a collaboration of the Sequoia and Carlmont cheerleaders.

Even the disappointing score didn’t keep the Scot fans quiet when the drum-line walked onto the track. The stands erupted with cheers that were heard as far away as at Tierra Linda Middle School.

The third quarter began with many Scots feeling hopeful that their team could catch up, but it ended with the score 40 to 0.

The fourth and final quarter consisted of Sequoia scoring one last touchdown, making the score 47 to 0, the Cherokee-Ravens winning.

“It was kind of upsetting, but it was still a lot of fun to have a night game,” said Carlmont’s Melissa Talgo.

But even with the disappointing loss, the Carlmont Scots were even more excited for the Varsity game less than an hour later.
