[media-credit id=59 align=”aligncenter” width=”300″][/media-credit]The Art Club has been around longer than some of the teachers in the art department can remember.

Its main goalĀ  is to “promote art and artistic ability with the students of Carlmont.”

It is a club for students in and out of the respective art class available on campus.

“What I enjoy most about the club is that it gives students who are not in any of the art classes, can still have somewhere to go; to draw and meet with other students that enjoy art like they do,” explained art teacher and club advisor Cynthia Hodges.

This way, students who are not in any of the art classes can swap ideas and share their love of self expression through drawing, painting, and sculpting.

As a club, the president, along with the other students will plan a group art piece, for example, a mural, like what the club had created the year before.

There are about 12 to 20 students that come to the club meetings every Friday in room F22.

If any students are interested in the club, Tina Condos orĀ  Hodges can be of assistance.
