Reuse, reuse, reuse.

In the newest round of hot weather, many students can be seen carrying their colorful Eddy Camelbak water bottles.

Camelbak manufactures both water bottles and water reservoir backpacks for hikers to keep hydrated. Since the products are made to for hiking and other athletic activities, Camelbak products, like their popular water bottles, are built to be durable and easy to carry around.

The popular Eddy Camelbaks are designed to be leak proof, a feature that many students find useful over the traditional plastic water bottle.

Sophomore Kira Roman said, “I like Camelbaks over regular water bottles because they are spill and leak proof and normal bottles aren’t. ”

Part of the leak proof design is in the rubber mouth piece. Camelbaks are designed with a rubber top that flips up and down and connects to the straw, when one wants to drink water they bite on the straw.

Sophomore Sydney Salzman said, “I like the chewy rubber piece at the top because you can hold them upright while you drink.”

Although the bottle has the advantage of drinking upright the rubber top does have its flaws.

Roman said, “If you keep the bottle in your backpack, the rubber piece can get lint or dirt on it. ”

The Eddy Camelbak bottle comes in many different designs, sizes and colors. Some of the bottles have a built in purification system, while others are insulted with a double wall to keep things cooler longer. Camelbaks range in size from the smaller .6 liter bottle to the largest one liter bottle. In terms of colors the Eddy water bottle come in a rainbow of colors including green, orange, pink and purple among  other standard colors.

Salzman said, “I like that they come in so many colors and sizes.”

A Eddy Camelbak runs from around 14 to 20 dollars. Although this may seem like a rather high price for a simple water bottle, Camelbaks come with  the  “The got your Bak lifetime guarantee.”

According to the Camelbak website, the water bottles are tested in labs to ensure the quality however if the bottle were to be defective in the workmanship or materials, Camelbak replaces the bottle.

With its great design and quality insurance, Camelbak really does have your Bak.
