Ceviche Bar and Grill an average experience

Ceviche Bar and Grill was a delicious, but an overall average and forgettable experience.

Located on El Camino Real, San Carlos, Ceviche has variety that most restaurants don’t. Their menu has Mexican food favorites like tacos, quesadillas, and fajitas, but also has seafood delicacies like ceviche and sea-bass. To top it off, they also carry hamburgers and different types of steak.

I ordered the chicken sandwich with a house salad for a side. The house salad’s dressing was not very cohesive with the ingredients and was a little bit dry. I was surprised when the chicken sandwich arrived with only chicken and bread. Although, I soon discovered, there was a full salad bar with all the condiments necessary for a great sandwich.

Just like the chicken sandwich, Ceviche has all the potential to be a great restaurant, but fell a little short. The staff was very friendly and flexible, and matched the atmosphere of the restaurant. However, the decor was average and did not stand out. The food was satisfactory, but not to the point where I would call it fantastic.

However, the one thing that did stand out, was their home-made agave honey lemonade. The lemonade was not too sweet, not too sour, and the fact that it was home-made makes it even better.

Overall, Ceviche is a great place to bring a large group of people in to have a satisfactory, relatively inexpensive dinner. The experience will be completely acceptable, but not noteworthy.
