For all the flack the Grammys get come awards season, they sure know how to put on a show.

A slew of live performances were the highlight of the night, with impressive performances coming from veterans like Jay Z and relative newcomers like Miguel.

‘Adorn’ by Miguel was arguably one of the night’s most solid performances, aided by the always relaxed Wiz Khalifa.

Much buzz around the night was due to the debut Grammy performance from Frank Ocean. The singer thrilled with an exciting visual accompanying an equally exciting song choice of ‘Forrest Gump.’

Ocean took much criticism on Twitter for his off-key singing, but many commended him for his song choice, which was a bold choice given the commercial success of ‘Thinkin Bout You’ and ‘Bad Religion.’

Justin Timberlake made a welcome return to music with his hit single ‘Suit & Tie,’ featuring Jay Z in a performance that marked his first since he left to develop his acting career.

Rihanna put in a stellar performance with ‘Stay.’ Pop-rock act fun. wowed audiences with their rain-covered performance.

Brandon Magpayo said of the performances, “It’s fun to see the new artists perform, I really enjoy seeing acts I’ve never seen before perform on such a big stage.”

The Grammy live performances were diverse and entertaining, the night filled with eye catching visuals and impressive performances.
