Cartoon: ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill erases LGBTQ+ education

On March 8, the Florida Senate passed a bill now dubbed as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, which forbids discussions of sexual orientation and gender identity in elementary school classrooms. The bill has been met with fierce opposition by Democrats and allies alike, and students in Florida have staged walkouts in response to the bill. (Sophia Sunbury)
