Aryna Sabalenka, a world renowned tennis player who deftly hit her way into the second week of the French open, refused to attend the post-match press conference for mental health reasons. This draws a parallel between Naomi Osakas refusal to attend last year for the same reasons, raising a new question of mental health in athletes. Tournaments should put their athletes health first, instead of pushing through and making mandatory uncomfortable questions.

Goodbye to the quad where they pet llamas and ate ice cream, goodbye to the gym where assemblies were held, goodbye to the football stands where they cheered on their team. Its important to make strong memories to hold onto in your high school years: they only come once.
