Cartoon: The apple refuses to fall far from its tree

A long-standing divide between Apple and Android users remains: clearly drawn by the color of their text messages. Apple’s distinct blue-colored bubbles are a defining feature amongst its products, opposing those who own Androids. Androids’ green messages and other limits on features are used to outcast products not from Apple. However, this marketing tactic has been under fire from the U.S. Government, which has filed a lawsuit against Apple. With Apple’s worth close to $3 trillion and the addition of features such as Apple Pay, the Justice Department alleges that Apple undermines the quality of rival devices to maintain its high value. However, many younger users, both from Apple and Android, hope to see the spread of blue text bubbles. (Skylin Lui)
