Howie’s Artisan Pizza offers delicious pizza with an upscale atmosphere.

If you are looking for a simple yet hip pizza place, Howie’s Artisan Pizza fits that description perfectly.

Howie’s Artisan Pizza can be found in Town and Country Village in Palo Alto, Calif. off of El Camino Real. They are open every day from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Howie’s offers a variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pizzas and drinks that can either be served at their restaurant or picked up and brought home. Howie’s also offers catering for any company or organization.

Howie’s Artisan Pizza wasn’t too crowded on this sunny Saturday afternoon.

Eating at Howie’s is more luxurious than eating at generic pizza places such as Round Table or Domino’s Pizza. At Howie’s, guests have the option of sitting inside at tables, booths or the bar, or outside under the overhang.

The menu is the same all day, but sometimes during lunchtime, Howie’s serves single slices of pizza to high school students across the street at Palo Alto High School.

“We ate at Howie’s twice in the past two weeks, and both times I couldn’t wait to go back. Thin, yeasty crust, bubbly brown at the edges, and lovely toppings applied sparsely so their true flavors shined through, plus a charming owner working the dough in his gray T-shirt, then coming out to our table to ask how we liked our meal. What’s not to like?” said Melinda Sacks of the Mercury News in 2010, shortly after Howie’s Artisan Pizza was introduced to Palo Alto.

When I ate at Howie’s, I was satisfied with my meal. I ordered the Pizza Margherita and shared it with a friend. We decided to eat outside on the nice and sunny Saturday afternoon and it was very enjoyable. I usually prefer thick crust pizzas, but Howie’s Artisan Pizza is an exception. The thin crust is just the right amount of soft and crunchy, and the Margherita pizza has a tasteful blend of cheeses, tomato sauce, and fresh basil.

I didn’t have to wait any more than 15 minutes for my pizza.

Overall, Howie’s Artisan Pizza definitely provided an outstanding dining experience.
