Throughout the US, around 35 bills have been introduced by state legislators that limit and ban transgender women from competing in women’s sports. Transgender students miss out on crucial childhood experiences and lessons when told they can not play on the teams they belong on. These accusations of athletic advantages ignore and distract from the struggles transgender people go through in America.
