Around the world, religion plays a significant role in people’s daily lives. Islam is the third-largest religion in the United States, and its popularity has increased over the past century. Muslims in the U.S. view the country’s diversity as an opportunity to learn about other cultures and religions. Having a religious community also makes it easier for Muslims in America to meet people who share their values and expand their networks. Islam teaches its followers many important values and serves as a way of life for its believers.
