Lia Frazita (class of 2027) is a junior at Carlmont High School and is in her second year of writing and editing for Scot Scoop. She participates in a variety of school and club sports and plays flute in the Carlmont Symphonic Band. When she is not busy with school, she can be found curled up with a fantasy novel or baking a fresh batch of cookies.

A Carlmont student sets her clock forward one hour, using her phone time as reference. As the debate over daylight saving time continues, the necessity and practicality of changing clocks has been questioned. Some believe that the time change should be ended. "I think the pro argument has already been discounted, and that's part of the problem," said Alya McGinlay, a Carlmont parent.
