Many Carlmont students choose to partake in a daily sport, whether it be through the school, an outside club, or as a recreational activity. Very few students use this as an opportunity to spend time with their family. Sophomore Nikhila Raman spends almost all of her free time playing tennis with her father and sister through a deep dedication to the sport.

Phoebe Gulsen is a senior and is Editor-in-Chief of the Carlmont Journalism Scotcenter program. She produces mainly human interest and social justice videos, in hopes of providing a deeper story through local news. Gulsen is a graduate of the 2021 Boston University Summer Journalism Institute and over the past three years, has earned national and international awards for her work. She takes part in several extra-curricular activities, including advanced choir, varsity lacrosse, and philanthropy work through National Charity League.
