As the Girl Scouts cookie season returns with new flavors and classic favorites, young girls across the Bay Area are once again stepping into the shoes of entrepreneurs, learning business skills, leadership, and building confidence one box at a time. Since the first Girl Scouts troop in California was established in 1917, the Girl Scouts of Northern California has grown to over 2000 troops. Besides selling cookies, Girl Scouts are also involved in community service, environmental projects, STEM, and arts and culture.
