Cartoon: Beach day, every day

Sea levels continue to rise on California’s coast. With drastic changes in water levels, many beaches and shores in California have the potential of being threatened in the future due to flooding, which will cause catastrophic environmental and local damages. Counties have been trying to combat the effects of sea-level rise through development, but the future may look far worse for local waters if these trends continue. (Marlena Reinshagen)
