Cartoon: Drinking up water bottle trends

Water bottles have always been popular purchases, offering a diversity of styles for consumers along with their environmental benefits. Recently, however, water bottle purchases have been shown to be having negative environmental impacts. Metal water bottles are expensive to produce, and consumers buy water bottles so frequently that the positive green effect of water bottles has backfired. There should be a focus on each water bottle’s long-term use rather than turning them into products of consumption. (Marlena Reinshagen)
