Cartoon: No Vacation for Unification

Amazon workers in a Staten Island warehouse won a vote to initiate a workers union, the first-ever in the company’s history. Amazon has gotten a bad reputation for poor working conditions, which is ironic because the company was headed until recently by one of the world’s wealthiest people, Jeff Bezos, a man who has neglected worker grievances for countless years. Despite this milestone, Amazon has filed multiple objections to the election, stating that the distribution of marijuana swayed the voters along with other hyperbolized accusations of misconduct.
