Cartoon: Raising the red flag on bullfighting

Many protestors advocating for animal rights met the return of bullfighting in Mexico City at the first official match since its initial restriction. Bullfighting was suspended as part of a long-running legal case in 2022 and legalized again in December 2023. More than 300 protestors lined the front of Plaza México several hours before the match began to protest. Murdering animals is not entertainment, nor is it a form of art. (Grace Stiefel)
