San Francisco has a new sheriff in town. The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) approved using the robots only during critical moments, such as when someone could lose a life, and the SFPD has no other options available. Only trained officers can pilot these robots, and they are remote-controlled. Critics fear that these robots give the police too much power they could abuse. Glydelle Espano
