Cartoon: Typical romance

My Life With the Walter Boys is yet another example of a badly written show with poor character development. Unfortunately, it’s not the only one of its kind. Romance, as of late in television, has turned into a bad apple, with many series relying on conflicts between characters rather than character development. With many shows using awkward situations as a crutch, even the outside perspective of romance in daily life has taken a turn into having weird expectations from romantic relationships. Romance series have become less about the characters and stories and more about the shallowness and half-hearted dialogue of the actors. (Marlena Reinshagen)
