Cartoon: We need native seeds

A recently released study revealed the necessity of native seeds. The National Academies of Sciences of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine reported that seed banks are needed to maintain biodiversity and restore habitats damaged by increasing climate disasters. When America incessantly extracts the earth’s resources to drive its commercial and industrial wealth, the country ignores the irreparable damage it is causing to the environment it depends on. The severe lack of native seeds will hinder progress in future restoration efforts. (Phie Wei)
