In 2008, President Barack Obama selected Biden as his running mate. Biden served two terms as the 47th Vice President of the United States.
Donald Trump is the 45th President of the U.S. He is running for reelection as the Republican candidate, with running mate, Mike Pence. Formerly famous for his business endeavors, Trump took over his father's real estate company in 1971. In 2015, he announced his candidacy, and a year later, he beat Hillary Clinton in the general election.
Q: Who can register to vote?
A: To register to vote in California, you must be a United States citizen and resident of California and 18 years old or older on Election Day.

A: You can check your voter registration status on the California Secretary of State website here.
Q: How can I vote by mail?
A: Every active registered voter in California will be mailed a vote-by-mail ballot for the Nov. 3 Election.
Q: When will my mail-in-ballot arrive?
A: Starting Oct. 5, all registered voters will receive a ballot in the mail. If you don’t receive a ballot by Oct. 19, call your board of elections.
Q: When does my mail-in-ballot need to be sent?
A: Ballots must be sent by Nov. 3, but it is safer to send yours sooner. You can also drop your ballot off at a polling location before 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.

A: All polling locations are open on Election Day from 7:00 a.m to 8:00 p.m.

- 1. Check voter eligibility status on howto.vote.
- 2. Register to vote by Oct. 17.
- If you are voting by mail, follow steps three through six.
- 3. Fill out ballot thoroughly.
- 4. Seal it inside the prepaid postage envelope provided with your ballot.
- 5. Sign your name and write the date in the fields provided on the back.
- 6. Postmark your ballot and drop it in mail it well before election day; or, deliver it to a local polling place, vote center, county elections office or ballot drop box by 8 p.m. on Nov. 3.
- If you are voting in person, follow steps seven through ten.
- 7. Double-check with your county registrar’s office where to vote before you go.
- 8. On Nov. 3, vote at the location you chose between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m
- 9. Don't forget a mask.
