Cartoon: Bruins bashed

On May 3rd, counterprotests at the University of California Los Angeles attacked a Palestinian encampment on the campus. Unprovoked, they used sticks, chemical sprays, and fireworks as weapons against the students. Police were called but did nothing to stop the violence for hours. This, and other similar scenes, have been playing out across the country in response to the Isreal-Hamas war and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. College students should be able to continue to demonstrate their support for what they believe in safely and peacefully. (Shiyo Ohashi)
