Cartoon: Tiktok reveals user data is accessible to its Chinese employees

Tiktok recently revealed that their Chinese employees can access European user data, according to their new privacy policy. The app can also pass data to other countries, not only China. Due to this change, Tiktok has been under fire from several major nations’ governments worried about their citizens’ online privacy. The issue concerned the U.S. government so much that U.S. policymakers wanted to ban TikTok entirely. (Glydelle Espano)
