Showing commitment to learning can be an important factor in motivating students.

Lucia tries to recognize a students’ needs and help them in any way possible.

“Mr. Lucia is one of the few teachers I have that I know I can always reach out to for help. He is very helpful, and I am very thankful for that,” sophomore Mia Hogan said.

Lucia knows that it is his role to encourage students for an active learning and concern himself with promoting students’ intellectual and moral development.

On a daily basis, Lucia strives to development a student’s knowledge while increasing his own at the same time.

“Education is an intangible thing that no one can ever take away from you. Your car can get taken away, or your house, but never your education which is what really inspired me to become a teacher,” Lucia said.
